With live events and games at a standstill, we here at Kiswe have been ramping up our efforts to help our partners find creative solutions to continue programming and to keep audiences engaged. With the majority of the population encouraged to stay at home and self-isolate, the opportunity to provide quality content is perhaps greater now than ever. Below are some ways in which the sports, music and entertainment industries can utilize Kiswe's cloud solutions.
Refresh Archived Games and Events
Last week, we shared how partners are able to breathe new life into archived footage by inviting former players and athletes to provide commentary from past games. This approach not only allows broadcasters to create an entirely new narrative, but it enables athletes who were involved in those games to provide unique live commentary of what they were thinking in the game, right from their own homes. Other entertainment entities like singing competitions are also interested in repurposing previously aired footage, with new input from past judges or contestants. Fans can remember those exciting live experiences all over again.
Add Fans to Broadcasts
Additionally, we have seen a tremendous opportunity for fans to get more involved in live broadcasts. Since the majority of audiences are sitting at home, it’s a pivotal time to engage them. Some talk shows and live events have opted to continue programming without a live audience, but it’s created a detached environment. Thus, we’ve created a solution that allows up to 16 fans to join in and be a part of the event. Casting remotely from their homes, the fans’ live reactions will be showcased simultaneously as the live event is taking place.
Create Watch Parties
As people are also coping with being quarantined, creating opportunities to help people watch together with friends and family is even more crucial. We are also experimenting with methods to maintain and defeat social isolation all at the same time. Kiswe enables watch parties so that people can feel like they’re watching live games and events with their friends and family. Akin to virtual living rooms, people can watch their favorite shows or games together and communicate-virtually- with each other in real-time.
Kiswe stands with our partners during these unprecedented times. The current situation poses a challenge to our industry. But every challenge is an opportunity. As people are quarantined or isolated in their homes, Kiswe is ready to work with content holders to rapidly bring new innovations to market to address users' needs for content and connection.
