A new kind of local rights deal was signed by the Phoenix Suns/Mercury teams in Arizona. Their locally broadcasted games became available through over-the-air Gray Television channels, and streaming powered by the video tech company Kiswe. This new deal which tripled their previous reach to 2.8 million households completely abandons the RSN cable model driving these WNBA/NBA teams for the last 2 decades.
