NEW YORK, NY, AND LOS ANGELES, CA—December 3, 2021—iNDEMAND, the leading transactional video on demand (TVOD) and pay per view (PPV) programming provider in North America for the last three decades, is launching its first streaming PPV platform, a website and app: PPV.com. By adding a streaming PPV service to its existing cable PPV infrastructure, iNDEMAND has consolidated all forms of PPV distribution under one roof. This makes the company the only provider of turn-key PPV solutions for both industry partners and consumers. PPV.com will offer a variety of live PPV events, original material, archived content, and live event replays. The site will offer dozens of PPV events throughout 2022 in categories including boxing, wrestling, MMA, soccer, music, comedy, and additional sports.
iNDEMAND has partnered with interactive video company Kiswe to build PPV.com and provide interactive features that distinguish it from other PPV event streaming platforms. PPV.com will be the first to offer interactive fan engagement during live-action sports events. In November 2021, Kiswe’s live event platform was named one of Time magazine’s “The Best Inventions of 2021” and was also named to Fast Company’s inaugural Next Big Things in Tech list.
“Our focus is delivering what consumers want: ease of finding an event, simplicity of ordering, and quality of stream,” said Dale Hopkins, President and CEO of iNDEMAND. “Consumers will know that PPV.com will always provide an outstanding experience. Delivering live PPV events isn’t easy, but we make it look easy. We’re the leader in this field because we deliver the best experience from start to finish.”
“We are thrilled to partner with iNDEMAND to introduce our interactive digital video experience to live-action sports. For the first time, we will enable fans at home to transform from being isolated spectators to engaged participants in the live sports they are passionate about,” said Mike Schabel, President and CEO of Kiswe. “This is an important first step towards delivering hybrid live events where every fan matters.”
PPV.com will allow boxing and other sports fans to create personalized, interactive experiences during events. Viewers will be able to interact with other fans, post comments, upload video selfies, buy merchandise, and other activities. The website and app will also offer exciting consumer promotions, contests, and other compelling incentives throughout 2022. The website is live now, and the app will go live during 1Q2022. Additionally, PPV.com will become available via cable set-top boxes during the second half of 2022.
Mark Boccardi, SVP Programming & Marketing for iNDEMAND, added, “We’re excited to take everything we know about programming, distributing, and marketing PPV events and applying that knowledge to our new streaming service. Combining our track record of impeccable video delivery with the exclusive interactive features that PPV.com offers, this new service will differentiate us from other PPV streaming platforms and allow us to provide a great product that fans won’t get anywhere else.”
Upcoming events that will be available to order are:
December 4, 2021—International Soccer Friendly Match: Ecuador vs. El Salvador, 8pm ET/5pm PT, Live from PNC Stadium in Houston, TX
